I took a trip to British Ceramics Biennial in Stoke on Trent. It was located in a church. There were many different pieces in many different sizes and different shapes. I have taken these pictures because I thought that they would be amazing to replicate in my sketchbook. Down below you will see the original picture and my free hand attempt at recreating them.
Overall I feel that I have recreated these pictures very successfully. I have explored different shapes and shading techniques. As well as this, I went out of my comfort zone to use paints (which is a medium I struggle with) to recreate the destroyed ceramic sphere. I can say that I am most proud of that piece because I think that the colours used and the placement of everything in that picture has been done to perfection. I also went out of my own way to use Golden paint to create the shine I see in the picture.
